Blackhawks are Spoilers










Spoilers of Homecoming that is. The visiting Blackhawks rang up an impressive 55 points on the Twin Valley South Panthers on their homecoming night. Running back Alex Scholl did most of the damage – scoring 5 touchdowns. He had over 200 yards on the night. The Blackhawks took control of the game early and pretty much had their way offensively as they made a long bus ride home short with a 55-20 victory.

Scoring Summary: Scholl 51 yard run. Zach Connor 28 yard TD catch from Cody Dirksen. Scholl 41 yard TD carry. #7 fumble recovery 50 yd TD. Scholl 1yd TD run. Scholl 4 yard TD run. #7 23 yard TD catch from Cody Dirksen. Scholl 41 yard TD run.

Trojans Crush Bee's








Coming off a rough stretch last week the Arcanum Trojan volleyball needed something to pull them out of the doldrums. The cure was to begin a new winning streak with the team pulling together back to back victories. Both wins were against league opponents – Covington and Bethel and both wins were straight set wins. We caught up with them in their match against Bethel who they hastily put away 25-8, 25-5, 25-5.

Arcanum Cross Country Teams Sweep Tri-Village Invitational









Both the Arcanum boys and girls teams swept the Tri-Village Invitational. Placing 1st in their respective events. The Franklin Monroe boys team placed 2nd, and the Marion Local girls also capturing 2nd. Eight teams participated in the event on a sunny, pleasant day. It was great weather for fans, although the runners probably would have liked it be 10 degree's or so cooler.

“This is What We Play For, This is What We Coach For” Arcanum Defeats Trail in Overtime











It was a clash between 2 unbeaten CCC teams – Arcanum and National Trail.  Both teams entered
the game 3-0. Trail was off to their best start since 1977 and Arcanum is coming back from last
years 2 win season. Both teams wanted the win to keep their title hopes alive and to stay in
contention for a playoff slot.  But it was Arcanum on military appreciation night that made big plays
at the end of the game to stay undefeated with a 20-17 comeback win in overtime.
Since it was military appreciation night, the Ohio National Guard provided the home team
Trojans with special camo jerseys for the game.
