The pregame featured an award ceremony for North's Audrey Stupp. She recently set a single game record for North - scoring 43 points. This eclipsed Rachael Heindl's single game record of 40 points. Current TCN Coach O'Dell held the record previous to this with 29 points. Pictured above is a 'Triple Threat' of top scorers.
Ansonia was cold shooting from the field against Tri-County
North. They ran with the Panthers in the
1st quarter when the play was focused on transition. They were only
behind by 5 – 19 to 14. It began at a fast pace with both teams running the
court. But when the game settled down
into a half court pace, that change favored North. They scored both inside and outside. Meanwhile Ansonia was cold in their half
court sets. A 10 point half time deficit
grew and by games end it was 65-44 in favor of North....
